Letter to Our Customers

As many of you have noticed we have experienced an unprecedented weather pattern in March and April this season along with an almost non existent winter season. This weather pattern makes it difficult if not impossible to grow fruit in our area. We have been blessed to this point to still have the potential for an excellent crop of strawberries, peaches, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. The apple crop looks fair with some varieties being good and others being on the light side. We also have a crop of cherries to this point.

Please pay close attention to the estimated dates for u-pick this season as we don’t want you to miss out. For example, if you have been accustomed to picking strawberries the middle of June you will need to try to make it about 3 weeks early. If you are used to getting your red haven peaches the second week of August, you should look more toward mid July for this season. The vegetable season should be fairly normal except for sweet corn which should be early.

We will update our website frequently for picking dates on all crops so please visit often or call anytime to get an update. We intend to open the apple upick this season around the 3rd week of August.

Finally, we have exciting news to share. New apple varities coming in the near future include Zestar, Blondee, Opal, and Gold Rush. All will give apple lovers a great eating experience. We have also expanded our cherry acreage and hope to be better suppliers of your blueberry needs as the plants grow.

Thanks again for being loyal customers. We are here for the long haul to serve our customers
